Middle QA Engineer

📋 Description

• • Perform functional testing on SplitMetrics’ web applications, including frontends and APIs, to ensure reliability, functionality, and adherence to product specifications.
• • Identify, document, and report defects with clear, reproducible steps following established team standards for bug tracking and reporting.
• • Solve ad hoc technical issues related to interactions with App Store, Apple Ads, and iTunes APIs during testing cycles.
• • Design, create, and maintain comprehensive test documentation using industry-standard test design techniques and methodologies.
• • Collaborate directly with customer support managers, product teams, and developers to clarify requirements, validate fixes, and improve product quality.
• • Apply solid SQL expertise to validate data integrity, query backend systems, and verify API responses against expected outcomes.
• • Utilize CLI tools for environment setup, log analysis, and automation script execution during testing processes.
• • Demonstrate understanding of software architecture to effectively test system components and their interdependencies.
• • Engage in QA activities throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirement review to release validation.
• • Apply confident use of test design practices such as equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, and state transition testing.
• • Maintain a proactive, detail-oriented approach to quality assurance with a focus on preventing defects before they reach users.
• • Participate in cross-functional team discussions, contribute to sprint planning, and provide QA input during product refinement sessions.
• • Leverage experience with test automation as a plus to enhance testing efficiency and coverage where applicable.
• • Work within a remote-first environment across 20+ countries, coordinating with global teams while adhering to shared OKRs and collaborative workflows.
• • Contribute to a culture of transparency, ownership, and continuous learning by sharing insights, feedback, and improvements with peers.
• • Adapt to a fast-paced environment where rapid iteration and high-volume ad spend processing demand precision and responsiveness in testing.
• • Support the ecosystem of SplitMetrics products including SplitMetrics Acquire, SplitMetrics Optimize, and App Radar by SplitMetrics.
• • Ensure testing practices align with the company’s AI-integrated strategic approach implemented since 2023.
• • Maintain high standards of communication and professionalism when interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
