📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java for a major Brazilian financial institution specializing in investment banking, wealth management, and corporate lending.
• Build and support event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS, and RabbitMQ to enable reliable and asynchronous communication between distributed systems.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure code quality, system reliability, and adherence to technical standards.
• Design and optimize database solutions using relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL to support high-volume financial transactions and data integrity.
• Deploy and support applications in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS to ensure consistent and scalable deployment across environments.
• Leverage AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS to build serverless and scalable cloud-native applications.
• Implement observability practices such as logging, monitoring, and tracing to improve system reliability, performance, and incident response.
• Design highly available and scalable systems using auto-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies to meet enterprise-grade uptime requirements.
• Participate in code reviews to promote engineering best practices, maintain code quality, and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps to deliver robust, secure, and maintainable financial technology solutions.
• Contribute to the team’s technical evolution by identifying improvement opportunities, adopting new tools, and refining development processes.
• Apply software engineering principles such as SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI to write maintainable, modular, and efficient code.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex backend issues and deliver high-quality solutions under tight deadlines.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across global teams.
• Work in a remote environment with flexibility to collaborate across time zones while maintaining high productivity and accountability.
• Maintain a quality-focused mindset with attention to detail, engineering excellence, and adherence to financial industry security and compliance standards.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, proactively identify risks, and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision.
• Adapt to evolving technologies and business needs by continuously learning and applying new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Prioritize tasks effectively, manage competing demands, and deliver work on schedule while maintaining high standards of code and system performance.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java for backend development
• Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and performance testing
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with containerized environments including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS
