- • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our innovative team at Extend Your Team, LLC. This role is pivotal in our mission to revolutionize consumer credit by leveraging technology to significantly reduce the cost of capital, making it more accessible for individuals. Our groundbreaking approach utilizes patented technologies to streamline the mortgage process, transforming a typically lengthy and expensive procedure into a swift and affordable experience. As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will be at the forefront of this transformation, playing a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our loan processing operations.
- • In this capacity, you will be responsible for the comprehensive underwriting and review of residential mortgage loan applications. This includes a diverse range of products such as Conventional, FHA/VA, and Non-QM loans, requiring a deep understanding of various lending criteria and borrower profiles. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating the completeness and accuracy of all submitted borrower documentation, including income verification, credit reports, asset statements, title reports, and property appraisals. This meticulous review process is essential to confirm borrower eligibility and the overall soundness of the loan application.
- • A core aspect of your role will involve ensuring strict adherence to all relevant compliance regulations, most notably the TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) guidelines. Maintaining compliance with these and other critical loan regulations is paramount to our operations and protects both the borrower and the company. You will apply Agency and Investor guidelines, such as those set forth by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, and the VA, to make informed underwriting decisions. This requires a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of these complex frameworks.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to a proactive risk assessment of each loan file. You will be expected to identify potential risks, such as discrepancies in documentation, credit issues, or appraisal concerns, and provide sound recommendations or viable solutions to mitigate these risks. This analytical approach ensures that we maintain a healthy loan portfolio while still serving our customers effectively.
- • Maintaining unwavering adherence to established underwriting policies, procedures, and regulatory standards is non-negotiable. You will be expected to stay current with any changes or updates to these guidelines and implement them immediately into your workflow. This commitment to policy adherence ensures consistency and reliability in our processing.
- • To support the entire mortgage life cycle, you will collaborate closely with other departments, including sales, origination, and closing teams. This cross-functional collaboration is vital to ensure a seamless, timely, and accurate loan processing experience from application to funding. Your ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with colleagues will directly impact the overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- • The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in residential mortgage underwriting, with a strong background across Conventional, FHA/VA, and Non-QM loan products. A solid understanding of TRID compliance, broader regulatory requirements, and in-depth knowledge of Agency and Investor guidelines is essential. Excellent analytical skills are required to dissect borrower documentation and assess risk accurately. While not strictly mandatory, a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end mortgage life cycle is highly preferred, as it allows for a more holistic approach to loan processing.
- • We are looking for individuals with exceptional attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and superior time management abilities, capable of thriving under tight deadlines. Fluency, clarity, and good diction in English are necessary for clear communication. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in financial services is expected. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company that is making a significant impact on consumer finance through technological innovation.
