📋 Description

• • The Mortgage Loan Underwriter role at Zillow Home Loans is critical to ensuring every loan meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and salability, directly supporting Zillow’s mission to make home financing simpler and more transparent.
• • Day to day, the underwriter will review resubmitted loan files and documents, make independent and compliant loan decisions, enter data into Encompass LOS, maintain service level and turn-time standards, safeguard confidential information, respond to audits and post-closing issues, stay current on agency/investor guidelines and regulatory changes, and collaborate with processing teams to resolve underwriting deficiencies and documentation issues.
• • The Underwriting team operates within Zillow’s Operations organization, partnering closely with Processing, Funding, Quality Control, and Risk to deliver sound, salable loans in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where precision, integrity, and independent judgment are essential.
