Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own end-to-end quality validation for NEOWIZ’s global publishing slate: you will independently plan, execute, and report on functional, compatibility, performance, and regression testing for PC and console builds delivered by external development partners, ensuring every milestone meets the bar for platform compliance and player delight.
  • • Be the single QA point of contact between Santa Monica publishing leadership, external studios, first-party platform holders, and third-party QA vendors; translate complex technical findings into concise risk statements and actionable recommendations that influence go / no-go release decisions.
  • • Design living test plans, test cases, and checklists that evolve with each build; continuously refine coverage to catch edge-case defects, systemic gameplay issues, and compliance gaps before they reach certification or live players.
  • • Drive first-party certification readiness for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo by validating TRC, XR, NAC, and NOPS requirements, owning submission checklists, and coordinating with platform engineers to resolve blockers quickly.
  • • Evaluate gameplay, UX, localization, accessibility, and monetization flows from a player-centric lens; surface usability pain points, cultural inconsistencies, and accessibility shortfalls that could impact global reception or ratings.
  • • Document and triage defects in Jira with surgical precision—repro steps, severity, platform, build, and video / log attachments—then shepherd each ticket through its lifecycle until verified fixed and regression-safe.
  • • Validate post-launch patches, hotfixes, seasonal content, and live-ops events; run targeted smoke and full regression suites to guarantee stability and preserve hard-won player trust.
  • • Coordinate external QA vendors: define scope, review test deliverables, sanity-check coverage gaps, and ensure vendor reports align with NEOWIZ quality standards—all without direct people management, but with clear ownership of outcomes.
  • • Contribute data-driven QA assessments during milestone reviews; present heat-maps of defect trends, performance deltas, and release risk matrices that empower publishing leadership to make informed green-light decisions.
  • • Champion a culture of quality across distributed teams; share best practices, mentor junior testers informally, and evangelize player-first thinking in every Slack thread, stand-up, and review meeting.
  • • Stay ahead of emerging platform guidelines, anti-cheat requirements, and storefront policies; proactively update test strategies so NEOWIZ titles sail through certification on the first attempt.
  • • Leverage telemetry and player feedback to prioritize real-world test scenarios; ensure that QA efforts mirror actual player behavior rather than theoretical edge cases.
  • • Maintain clear, auditable QA documentation for external audits, platform submissions, and post-mortems; your reports will become the gold standard that future projects reference.
  • • Embrace autonomy: while you’ll collaborate daily with producers, engineers, and marketers, you will define your own daily priorities and testing cadence to hit aggressive publishing deadlines.
