Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end health, configuration, and continuous evolution of the Netcracker OSS/BSS suite that underpins Telesat’s global satellite operations. You will act as the single point of accountability for Order Management, Inventory Management, Service Fulfillment, and Billing modules, ensuring they scale seamlessly with the 2027 launch of Telesat Lightspeed—our game-changing LEO constellation.
  • • Serve as the bridge between technical engineering squads, business stakeholders, and external Netcracker vendor teams. Translate complex business requirements into precise technical specifications, then shepherd those changes through design, development, test, and production deployment with minimal disruption to 24Ă—7 operations.
  • • Monitor real-time application performance and proactively hunt for anomalies. When incidents occur, you will provide Level 2/3 support—root-cause analysis, patch deployment, and permanent fixes—while maintaining SLA adherence for enterprise and government customers who rely on Telesat for mission-critical connectivity.
  • • Drive system integration initiatives that connect Netcracker with CRM, ERP, and network management ecosystems. Leverage SOAP/REST APIs, XML, and middleware platforms to automate order-to-cash workflows, reduce manual touchpoints, and deliver fiber-like customer experiences across satellite and terrestrial links.
  • • Plan and execute major upgrades, hot-fix rollouts, and security patches. Coordinate change windows with Network Operations, broadcast schedules, and satellite control centers to ensure zero-impact deployments for a fleet that includes 14 GEO satellites and the Canadian payload on ViaSat-1.
  • • Optimize application workflows and data models to accelerate service provisioning for enterprise, maritime, and government segments. Use your deep knowledge of telecom order-to-cash and customer-lifecycle processes to shave minutes off every transaction—multiplied across thousands of circuits, that translates into significant revenue and customer-satisfaction gains.
  • • Build and maintain comprehensive technical documentation—run-books, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and user guides—so tribal knowledge is never lost. Conduct training sessions and onboarding workshops that empower business users to leverage new Netcracker capabilities confidently.
  • • Champion DevOps best practices within the Netcracker environment. Introduce automated testing, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Git/Ansible), and infrastructure-as-code techniques that reduce deployment risk and accelerate feature delivery in support of the Lightspeed roadmap.
  • • Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams to harden the Netcracker platform against evolving threats. Implement role-based access controls, audit trails, and data-encryption standards that satisfy both commercial and classified government requirements.
  • • Contribute to strategic roadmap sessions with product management and satellite engineering. Provide data-driven insights on capacity trends, feature utilization, and technical debt so leadership can prioritize investments that maximize ROI and customer value.
