- • As a Network Wireless Engineer at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, operating, supporting, and optimizing our global network infrastructure. This pivotal role is specifically focused on ensuring the utmost reliability, scalability, and security of our enterprise wireless network systems, while also contributing to the broader LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
- • You will be instrumental in driving complex network initiatives, providing critical Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, and fostering seamless collaboration across various business and IT teams to ensure our network strategy is perfectly aligned with the firm's overarching organizational goals.
- • Your primary responsibility will be the meticulous design, expert management, and robust support of our global wireless infrastructure, ensuring it meets the demanding needs of a leading global professional services firm.
- • **Network Operations & Administration:**
- • Take ownership of the management, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the firm’s comprehensive enterprise network. This includes, but is not limited to, SD-WAN solutions, routers, switches, firewalls, and crucially, all wireless systems and VPN technologies.
- • Oversee the entire lifecycle of network components and services, from initial installation and configuration to meticulous maintenance and swift, effective troubleshooting.
- • Guarantee the optimal performance, resilience, and availability of our Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN), and cloud-connected infrastructures.
- • Conduct proactive network monitoring, rigorous capacity planning, and in-depth performance analysis utilizing industry-leading tools such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, and LiveAction to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
- • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of all network configurations, operational processes, detailed troubleshooting guides, and meticulous change management records, ensuring knowledge is accessible and processes are repeatable.
- • **Strategic Planning & Project Management:**
- • Serve as a key technical project member for large-scale network transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with clear, consistent communication to all stakeholders.
- • Continuously evaluate emerging networking technologies and innovative solutions, providing well-researched recommendations for enhancements that will improve efficiency, scalability, and overall network performance.
- • Actively participate in network architecture design reviews, contributing expert insights to standardization initiatives and ensuring designs meet current and future business requirements.
- • **Security, Compliance & Risk Management:**
- • Implement and rigorously enforce enterprise-wide security standards across all network devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points, to safeguard firm data and systems.
- • Collaborate closely with the Information Security team to ensure unwavering compliance with global security policies and data privacy regulations.
- • Participate actively in vulnerability assessments, the patch management process, and security audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- • **Incident & Problem Management:**
- • Provide expert support for the resolution of complex Tier 3 network incidents, conducting thorough root cause analysis to prevent recurrence, operating within a 24/7/365 support framework.
- • Establish and refine escalation and response protocols in close collaboration with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure efficient incident resolution.
- • Act as a primary network engineering resource, providing essential support and guidance to IT support staff and various technical teams across the organization.
- • **Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:**
- • Foster strong partnerships with IT Operations, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability across all IT systems.
- • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing network automation, improving observability, and developing self-healing network capabilities to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices in documentation and network management.
