You will be instrumental in empowering our sales teams and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to leverage our cutting-edge neurovascular technologies, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
- • As a Clinical Specialist, you will act as a crucial bridge between Penumbrainc's innovative solutions and the clinical needs of hospitals and healthcare providers. Your primary focus will be to provide comprehensive support to one or more regional sales teams, encompassing market development strategies, hands-on procedural coverage, adept troubleshooting, in-depth education and training, exceptional customer service, and diligent follow-up. This role demands a proactive approach, a deep understanding of neurovascular procedures, and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships within the medical community.
- • In the realm of Market Development, you will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager and sales team members to conceptualize, develop, and execute a strategic regional plan. This plan will be meticulously designed to not only increase market share but also to elevate the quality of service delivered to our valued customers. You will establish and maintain robust communication channels with the Regional Sales Manager and Territory Managers, ensuring seamless execution of the plan and the consistent achievement of quarterly objectives. A significant aspect of your role will involve cultivating strong relationships with key hospital personnel, identifying opportunities to expand our reach into other departments, pinpointing crucial decision-makers, and thereby facilitating future sales opportunities.
- • You will actively engage with both existing and potential customers, conducting in-depth discussions to understand their unique clinical needs, overarching goals, and any constraints they face in delivering optimal patient care. Your expertise will be crucial in demonstrating how Penumbrainc's innovative products can effectively address these challenges and help them achieve their clinical and operational objectives.
- • The Education and Training component of this role is paramount. You will be responsible for educating existing and potential customers on the significant merits and the precise clinical application of Penumbrainc's products. This will involve delivering compelling presentations and hands-on demonstrations, utilizing a variety of tools such as slides, flow models, brochures, and other relevant platforms and formats. A key responsibility is to keep our customers informed about the latest advancements in product technology, emerging therapies, and current trends and topics of interest within the neurovascular industry. You will also play an active role in supporting professional education activities sponsored by Penumbra, including PEER meetings, hospital stroke symposia, and other vital educational events.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute to the onboarding and development of new team members, providing essential training to new Territory Managers and fellow Clinical Specialists. Your insights will also be valuable in the development of Continuing Education Programs, ensuring that our educational offerings remain current, relevant, and impactful. This commitment to knowledge sharing and development is central to Penumbrainc's mission.
- • As the primary resource for clinical support, you will provide expert guidance in procedural case coverage, offer essential troubleshooting assistance, and conduct thorough follow-up for all Penumbrainc products. You will meticulously report and track all product incidents at customer sites, adhering strictly to Penumbrainc's established procedures and collaborating with appropriate personnel to ensure swift and effective problem resolution. Your ability to respond proactively to customer needs and address any complaints by developing creative and effective solutions, in close collaboration with senior management, sales, and marketing teams, will be critical.
- • You will also be involved in prospecting and developing relationships with prospective customers and users of Penumbra products, with the goal of converting them into loyal Penumbra customers. Securing and/or renewing existing orders will involve coordinating product availability, confirming delivery dates, and managing inventory levels effectively. Maintaining open and consistent communication lines with current and prospective customers regarding programs, promotions, and pricing trends is essential for fostering strong partnerships.
- • Building and nurturing relationships with physicians, cath lab staff, lab supervisors, and purchasing personnel will be a core function. You will consistently adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and all applicable domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. A thorough understanding of relevant security, privacy, and compliance principles is required, and you must adhere to all applicable regulations, standards, and procedures.
