- • This "New Business Relationship Manager - Squad Lead" role is pivotal in realizing this vision, offering a unique "player-manager" opportunity. You will be instrumental in driving growth and business development within your designated region while simultaneously leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Growth Relationship Managers.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to establish and cultivate a robust portfolio of SME clients from the ground up. This involves not only identifying and acquiring new business but also nurturing deep, trust-based relationships with existing clients, understanding their ambitions, and proactively offering Allica Bank's comprehensive suite of products and services.
- • You will act as the primary point of contact and the "face" of Allica Bank within your community, actively engaging with business networks, professional advisors (such as accountants and solicitors), and local business groups to build Allica's reputation as a valued partner and expert in business finance.
- • A key aspect of the role involves originating SME lending opportunities. This encompasses the entire lifecycle from initial inquiry through to successful completion, requiring you to meticulously write credit papers aligned with Allica's credit policy and appetite, and collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- • Building deep, trusting, and enduring relationships with onboarded customers is paramount. You will be adept at understanding diverse customer needs and matching them with the most appropriate Allica Bank products, including Business Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, Commercial Loans, Asset Finance, and Working Capital Facilities.
- • As a Squad Lead, you will provide essential leadership and line management to a regional team of Relationship Managers. This includes setting performance objectives, conducting regular performance reviews, offering coaching and development, and implementing necessary interventions to ensure team success and capacity planning.
- • You will be accountable for delivering the business plan and achieving commercial performance targets for your local area, encompassing both your personal portfolio and the collective performance of your team.
- • Collaboration is key. You will work closely and harmoniously with various Allica departments, including Business Development and the Accountancy Partnership Teams, to present a cohesive and compelling proposition to our target markets.
- • A significant part of your role will be to embody and promote Allica's values, contributing positively to the bank's culture and ensuring that every interaction reflects the bank's commitment to excellence and integrity.
- • You will also be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with all mandatory policies and adherence to operational procedures to maintain robust internal controls and regulatory standards.
