- • The Onboarding Specialist serves as the primary contact and advocate for new members transitioning to a CCA/CareSource health plan, ensuring continuity of care and successful integration into the health system.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting telephonic outreach to new members, identifying existing and needed healthcare services, liaising with internal and external providers, educating members on plan offerings, documenting healthcare needs, scheduling initial nurse intake visits, and utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to build trust and engagement.
- • The role operates within CareSource Management Group Company, a mission-driven healthcare organization committed to improving access and quality of care for underserved populations, particularly through its Commonwealth Care Alliance brand.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in member engagement, care coordination, and healthcare navigation while building strong interpersonal and advocacy skills, gaining experience with telehealth technologies, and contributing to equitable health outcomes in a multicultural setting.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in call center and/or Medicare/Medicaid plan
- • Five (5) years of relevant experience required
- • One (1) year working in outreach or in the community with individuals who have behavioral, medical, social, or interpersonal complexities
- • Experience using motivational interviewing techniques in a professional setting
- • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting
- • Familiarity with data entry and querying databases to identify key information about members
