Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • Join Doctolib's dynamic Finance team as an Order-to-Cash (OTC) / Billing Manager, based in our vibrant Paris office. This pivotal role is designed for individuals with a robust financial accounting foundation, offering a unique opportunity to transition from financial audit into an in-house accounting leadership position or to leverage existing high-volume billing/revenue accounting/OTC experience within a rapidly growing, international company.
  • As a key member of the Group Accounting team, you will report directly to the Working Capital Senior Manager. You will be an integral part of a strategic function that collaborates extensively across all organizational departments, including Sales, Finance, IT, and Product. This position promises exposure to a wide array of challenging projects within a fast-paced, innovative, and international work environment.
  • This role transcends traditional credit management or collections, demanding deep expertise in revenue accounting principles, meticulous financial closing procedures, and the implementation and oversight of robust internal controls.
  • You will be instrumental in supporting Doctolib's significant growth trajectory by leading our global customer billing operations. Your primary responsibility will be the management of high-volume billing activities spanning across all our group countries: France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. This involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of customer invoicing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team of 3-5 billing professionals. Foster their professional development, cultivate a high-performance culture, and ensure the consistent delivery of operational excellence in all billing activities across multiple geographies.
  • Oversee and execute monthly and annual financial closing processes, managing an impressive volume of up to 2 million invoices annually. Critically, you will ensure the performance and quality of SOX internal periodic controls, maintaining the integrity and compliance of our financial reporting.
  • Guarantee the seamless execution of billing operations by meticulously controlling the completeness and accuracy of monthly customer billing cycles. This requires strategic and proactive collaboration with both Sales and Finance teams to align on customer data, contract terms, and billing schedules.
  • Spearhead continuous automation initiatives and process optimization efforts. Leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance the efficiency of our high-volume billing operations, actively identifying and eliminating manual processes to scale effectively and reduce errors.
  • Manage the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process in close partnership with the Working Capital Senior Manager. This includes proactive monitoring of direct debit processes, active involvement in the recovery of doubtful debts, and efficient administration of cash application to ensure optimal working capital management.
  • Champion technology-driven improvements across our financial systems. Identify opportunities for and implement system enhancements within our core tech stack, including Salesforce, Zuora, and SAP, to support and scale our large-volume operations and improve overall financial process efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on billing and OTC-related matters. Your insights will be crucial in driving strategic financial decisions and ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures related to billing and revenue recognition, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the OTC process, implementing robust internal controls and ensuring compliance with SOX regulations.
  • Analyze billing data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in billing and OTC management, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards, working closely with the accounting team.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to billing and OTC processes.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the billing team, encouraging innovation and problem-solving.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to billing systems and services, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the overall financial health and operational efficiency of the company through effective management of the Order-to-Cash cycle.
