- • The Outcomes Manager plays a pivotal role in quantifying and articulating the impact of accredited medical education activities. This position is responsible for establishing, meticulously tracking, and comprehensively reporting on the outcomes achieved, demonstrating the degree of knowledge acquisition, changes in competency, and/or shifts in practice or performance resulting from participant engagement.
- • A core function of this role involves 'Data Storytelling.' The Outcomes Manager will weave compelling narratives from data, highlighting the unique and differentiating factors of the provider's platform and system, while communicating insights with clarity and conciseness. Success in this role hinges on a strong understanding of Continuing Medical Education (CME)/Continuing Education (CE) outcomes standards, such as those outlined in the Outcomes Standardization Project.
- • The position requires a solid grasp of statistical analysis principles, the ability to identify and emphasize critical data points, and the capacity to manage multiple complex projects concurrently. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to the evaluation and enhancement of educational programming, ensuring its effectiveness and value.
- • Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with business development and clinical leads to architect robust outcomes plans tailored for grant submissions. This involves understanding the strategic objectives of grants and translating them into measurable outcomes.
- • The Outcomes Manager will meticulously review program evaluations to ensure they align with established outcomes expectations, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- • A significant part of the role involves the diligent tracking and in-depth analysis of all outcomes data associated with approved grants. This requires a systematic approach to data collection and management.
- • A critical output of this role is the interpretation of complex data sets. The Outcomes Manager will develop comprehensive monthly, interim, and final outcomes reports, working in close partnership with program managers and clinical directors to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- • This position will also be instrumental in developing internal resources, enhancing capabilities, and refining processes and procedures for assessing, planning, and evaluating the effectiveness of continuing education activities specifically targeted towards healthcare professionals.
- • The role entails leading bi-weekly outcomes and reconciliation meetings, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment across teams regarding data interpretation and reporting.
- • Staying abreast of the latest innovations and best practices in demonstrating the value of educational programming is essential. This includes continuous learning and adaptation to evolving industry standards and methodologies.
- • Finally, the Outcomes Manager will ensure that all activity files contain the complete and required retention documentation, maintaining compliance and organizational integrity.
