- • As the Outsourcing Business Owner at Upvest, you will be the first line of defense for all outsourcing and critical ICT relationships within the Client Impact team, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational resilience from contract signature through ongoing service delivery and annual reviews.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading pre-contractual due diligence, negotiating contracts aligned with EBA/GL/2019/02, MaRisk AT 9, and DORA guidelines, conducting risk assessments, defining KPIs and exit strategies, monitoring SLAs, managing incidents and subcontractor changes, and leading annual risk reviews of outsourcing partners.
- • You will operate within Upvest’s Client Impact team, which owns the full client journey from contract to live, healthy investment products, working closely with 2nd-line (GRC/Compliance) and 3rd-line (Internal Audit) functions in a regulated fintech environment serving Europe’s leading financial institutions.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in financial services outsourcing governance, build scalable third-party risk management processes, and directly contribute to the resilience and scalability of Upvest’s Investment API infrastructure amid rapid growth backed by €280M in funding.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in outsourcing management, third-party risk, compliance, or a closely related operational role, ideally within a regulated financial institution or fintech.
- • Solid working knowledge of EBA outsourcing guidelines, MaRisk AT 9, and/or DORA, with hands-on experience applying these frameworks in practice.
- • Strong project management skills to run multiple governance tracks in parallel without dropping the ball.
- • Analytical mindset for conducting risk assessments, analyzing KPIs, and translating regulatory obligations into operational processes.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication in English (German is a plus) for clear documentation to internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- • High ownership mentality: proactive identification of gaps, raising issues, and driving fixes without waiting to be asked.
