📋 Description

• The Paralegal role at Connexus Credit Union supports the General Counsel with legal research, contract review, litigation management, and probate matters, playing a critical role in ensuring legal compliance and operational integrity across the organization.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research and analysis, preparing legal correspondence (discovery, subpoenas, deposition notices), drafting and reviewing contracts using MS Word Track Changes, managing contract databases, assisting with compliance help desk inquiries, supporting litigation through calendar management and discovery assistance, maintaining governance records for the Board of Directors, and providing legal guidance on employment law, power of attorney, and deceased member accounts.

• In this role, you will develop expertise in financial institution legal operations, gain hands-on experience with regulatory compliance in banking, strengthen contract management and litigation support skills, and contribute to corporate governance processes while working closely with senior legal counsel in a stable, mission-driven organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or commensurate experience
• 5+ years of legal-related experience in a financial institution, government agency, or law firm
• Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe
• Paralegal Certificate preferred
