- • This part-time Accounts Payable Analyst role at CarepathRx, part of The Cigna Group, is responsible for validating, coding, processing, and entering invoices to the proper budgets in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include comparing vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports, processing validated invoices for payment via Peoplesoft and spreadsheets, resolving PO/invoice discrepancies with Supply Chain, managing non-inventory payments, requesting new vendor setups, researching vendor inquiries, reviewing vendor statements for past due balances, processing payments to Home Health Nursing Agencies and intercompany entities, maintaining organized payment documentation, and independently resolving internal and external department inquiries.
- • The role operates within The Cigna Group’s finance and accounting ecosystem, supporting Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services’ mission to improve health and vitality through disciplined financial stewardship and cross-functional collaboration with Chartwell management, UPMC SCM, and external vendors.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in accounts payable workflows, gain hands-on experience with Peoplesoft Financials and MS Office tools, strengthen vendor management and dispute resolution skills, and develop proficiency in processing complex healthcare-related payments — positioning them for advancement in corporate accounting or financial operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma required
- • 5+ years of accounts payable/accounts receivable experience with proficiency in accounting software, MS Office, Excel, and Word
- • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials preferred
- • Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills
- • Ability to work 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- • Professionalism and ability to manage multiple tasks in a team environment
