- • The Partner & Benefits Accountant at Deel plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of the company’s global partner programs and benefits offerings, directly supporting Deel’s mission to enable compliant, scalable global employment for businesses and workers worldwide.
- • This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial reporting and internal controls around partner commissions, revenue sharing, and benefits-related transactions, which are foundational to Deel’s ability to operate across 150+ countries with trust and transparency.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing end-to-end accounting processes for partner programs, including recording and reconciling commissions, revenue sharing arrangements, and program incentives in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- • The accountant prepares journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the monthly financial close, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting related to partner and benefits activities.
- • They monitor partner and benefits-related general ledger balances, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues through collaboration with internal teams and direct communication with external partners across multiple jurisdictions.
- • Working closely with Product, Partnerships, and Operations teams, the role ensures proper financial treatment of new initiatives and supports the implementation of automated processes and system integrations to improve efficiency.
- • The accountant maintains detailed documentation of accounting treatments and internal controls, identifies opportunities to streamline manual workflows, and contributes to the development of scalable frameworks as partner programs evolve.
- • They provide direct support during internal and external audits by preparing schedules, explaining variances, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory standards.
- • The role requires proactive engagement with external partners to clarify transactions, reconcile balances, and resolve outstanding items, often across different time zones, currencies, and legal environments.
- • By ensuring financial accuracy and control in complex, cross-border partner and benefits flows, the accountant enables Deel to scale its offerings confidently while maintaining audit readiness and stakeholder trust.

🎯 Requirements
- • 3–6 years of professional accounting experience
- • Strong understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS accounting principles

- • Ability to collaborate effectively across finance, product, partnerships, and operations teams
