Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As the first hire in Civic Marketplace’s Partner Marketing team, you will play a foundational role in shaping how the company engages with its supplier network to drive revenue growth and expand impact in public procurement. Your work will directly support the company’s mission to make government purchasing more transparent, efficient, and accessible by strengthening relationships with trusted suppliers and enabling them to succeed on the platform.
  • • You will own the end-to-end development and execution of joint marketing strategies that align with sales objectives, ensuring that supplier partnerships are leveraged to maximize pipeline, conversion, and long-term value in designated categories.
  • • Day to day, you will develop and implement go-to-market (GTM) plans tailored to specific supplier segments, including setting quarterly targets, identifying high-potential customer groups, refining value propositions, selecting optimal communication channels, and coordinating tactical execution of integrated marketing and sales campaigns.
  • • You will proactively build and nurture strong relationships with supplier marketing and sales teams, positioning Civic Marketplace as a trusted partner for joint initiatives and ensuring alignment on goals, messaging, and timelines.
  • • You will lead supplier enablement efforts by guiding new and existing partners through onboarding, creating training materials, hosting workshops, and providing ongoing support to help them effectively market and sell Civic Marketplace contracts to public agencies.
  • • You will oversee the creation and quality of supplier-facing marketing assets, including documentation, FAQs, case studies, digital content, and campaign materials, ensuring consistent, compelling messaging that clearly communicates the value of participating in the Civic Marketplace network.
  • • You will manage and continuously optimize supplier content on the Civic Marketplace website, working to improve visibility, accuracy, and engagement to drive qualified sales leads and enhance user experience.
  • • You will measure and analyze the performance of all joint marketing efforts using data and ROI metrics, using insights to refine strategies, justify investments, and demonstrate impact to both internal stakeholders and supplier partners.
  • • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product, and customer success to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives and feedback loops are tightly integrated.
  • • You will develop and deliver clear, data-informed presentations to supplier partners on campaign performance, fostering transparency, trust, and continuous improvement in joint marketing efforts.
  • • About the team or company: Civic Marketplace is a mission-driven, fast-growing organization transforming public procurement by connecting government agencies with ethical, local suppliers. Though still scaling, the company has already achieved significant traction by building a trusted network of suppliers committed to community-centric values and cooperative purchasing excellence.
  • • The team is collaborative, values-led, and deeply committed to creating systemic change in how public funds are spent—prioritizing transparency, equity, and local economic impact over transactional efficiency alone.
  • • What the person can learn or achieve in this role: You will have the unique opportunity to build a partner marketing function from the ground up, gaining end-to-end ownership of strategy, execution, and measurement in a high-impact niche at the intersection of B2B marketing, public sector sales, and supplier enablement.
  • • You will deepen your expertise in cooperative purchasing frameworks, government procurement dynamics, and B2B partnership strategy—skills that are highly transferable and increasingly valuable in markets focused on public-private collaboration and sustainable procurement.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3-5 years of marketing experience across disciplines such as content marketing, email marketing, media production, public relations, or campaign management.
  • • Proven experience in supplier management or partner marketing, preferably within cooperative purchasing, public sector procurement, or local government cooperative environments.
  • • Demonstrated ability to make data-driven marketing decisions, including tracking ROI, analyzing campaign performance, and optimizing tactics based on measurable outcomes.
  • • Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo) to design, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns.
  • • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across sales, product, and customer teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to craft consistent, compelling messaging and present performance insights clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Opportunity to be the founding member of a new Partner Marketing team, shaping strategy and culture from the ground up in a mission-driven organization.
  • • Direct impact on transforming public procurement by enabling ethical suppliers to grow and succeed in government markets.
  • • Collaborative, values-based workplace culture focused on transparency, community impact, and innovation in public sector solutions.
  • • Professional growth in niche areas such as cooperative purchasing, B2B partnership marketing, and public sector enablement—skills with strong long-term relevance.
  • • Exposure to cross-functional strategy and close collaboration with sales, product, and customer success teams in a fast-growing, purpose-led company.
  • • Flexibility to contribute meaningfully to both strategic planning and tactical execution, with autonomy to innovate and iterate based on results.
