- • The Partnerships & PR Specialist role is critical to amplifying Backcountry’s brand voice and expanding its reach through strategic media relations and partnership initiatives that align with the company’s adventurous culture and outdoor lifestyle ethos.
- • Day to day, the person will develop and execute PR campaigns, cultivate media relationships, draft press releases and pitches, coordinate with internal teams on brand storytelling, manage partnership outreach, and support event activations that highlight Backcountry’s community and values.
- • The team operates within Brand Marketing at CSC Generation Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Backcountry, a purpose-driven organization rooted in adventure, recognition, and wellbeing, where employees are encouraged to live the lifestyle they promote.
- • In this role, the person can learn advanced media relations tactics, deepen expertise in lifestyle brand partnerships, measure PR impact through analytics, and grow into a leadership position within marketing communications while contributing to a culture that celebrates milestones and outdoor engagement.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
- • 2+ years of experience in PR, media relations, or partnership development
- • Strong writing and editing skills with ability to craft compelling press materials
- • Experience managing media outreach and building journalist relationships
- • Familiarity with the outdoor, retail, or lifestyle industry
- • Ability to work hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office in Cottonwood Heights, UT)
