- • Own the design and development of complex, state-rich user interfaces using ProseMirror / Tiptap and Yjs, with a focus on correctness, performance, and intuitive UX for AI-native workflows.
- • Build and integrate AI and LLM-powered features directly into rich-text, data-dense, and collaborative editing environments within Pasito’s workspace.
- • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Sales, and Client teams to translate real-world customer workflows into durable, scalable product solutions.
- • Take end-to-end ownership of UI systems, from concept and prototyping to deployment and iterative refinement based on user feedback.
- • Define and uphold quality standards for frontend architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability as the product scales to serve millions of users.
- • Challenge existing assumptions and help shape what “great” looks like in an AI-native, regulated benefits ecosystem where precision and trust are critical.
- • Work across the full stack as needed to deliver seamless user experiences, with primary focus on frontend and user-facing systems.
- • Implement and maintain robust frontend testing practices to ensure reliability in high-stakes, mission-critical applications.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Pasito’s UI architecture by introducing modern patterns, tools, and best practices in TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js.
- • Translate complex insurance and benefits data into clear, actionable interfaces that help employees, brokers, and carriers navigate intricate plan details with confidence.
- • Participate in client-facing technical and behavioral interviews to ensure product alignment with real user needs and regulatory constraints.
- • Help establish engineering culture and practices as an early member of the engineering team, influencing how the product is built and scaled.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years building complex web applications with a UI-first, product-driven approach
- • Deep expertise in ProseMirror / Tiptap for rich-text editing
- • Experience building real-time collaboration and local-first applications using Yjs
- • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frameworks like Next.js
- • Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM workflows (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) into user-facing products
- • Strong familiarity with frontend testing tools and best practices
