- • As a Patient Access Specialist at Expressable, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless access to speech therapy services by resolving complex insurance, authorization, billing, and care-readiness issues that directly impact client outcomes and care continuity.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing high-complexity insurance workflows, verifying benefits, preparing and tracking prior authorizations, supporting billing inquiries, and collaborating with clinical and operations teams to prevent delays in care while maintaining accurate documentation in CRM/EHR systems.
- • Expressable is a fast-growing, fully remote virtual speech therapy practice dedicated to expanding access to high-quality care through innovative telehealth solutions and parent-focused intervention, serving thousands of clients since 2019 with a mission to empower caregivers and transform therapy delivery.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in healthcare revenue cycle processes, strengthen your problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills, and contribute to process improvements that enhance client experience and operational efficiency while working in a supportive, mission-driven remote environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or coursework in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
- • 2–3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, patient access, insurance verification, prior authorization, medical billing, or revenue cycle support
- • Proficiency with EHR/CRM systems and payer portals; strong data-entry accuracy and documentation discipline
- • Working knowledge of insurance terminology (EOBs, COB, medical necessity, visit limits, tiered benefits, etc.)
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing and internal collaboration
- • Demonstrated success meeting SLAs and quality metrics in a high-volume environment
