- • The Patient Intake Specialist - Full Time - Weekends/Holidays role at Owens & Minor, Inc. (operating as Accendra Health) is critical to delivering personalized, long-term care by serving as a compassionate point of contact for patients and providers during after-hours, weekends, and holidays. This position ensures patients feel heard, understood, and valued by providing timely support and solutions that enhance the patient experience and strengthen trust in Apria Healthcare’s mission to improve quality of life at home.
- • Day to day, the specialist will act on behalf of local branch offices after hours and during weekends/holidays to accept urgent patient and referral calls, troubleshoot equipment issues, facilitate urgent new patient setups, and dispatch local technicians or respiratory therapists as needed. They will also provide feedback to field teams, operations, and sales to improve patient experiences, identify and flag trends in complaints to recommend preventative measures, and champion both patient and employee experience initiatives aligned with company culture.
