📋 Description
- • The Patient Support Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for leading and managing a team of Patient Support Associates to ensure medication adherence, timely prior authorizations, and financial assistance support for patients in specialty pharmacy services. This role directly impacts patient outcomes by ensuring service level metrics are met and high-quality care is delivered.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include directly supervising and coaching team members, managing ADP, PTO, and time reports, conducting workflow audits, coordinating with hospital partners and clinical teams, leading team and management meetings, onboarding new hires, managing pharmacy relations, and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive health information while maintaining operational efficiency.
- • Shields Health Solutions is a fast-growing company specializing in specialty pharmacy management services, committed to improving patient access to medications through dedicated support teams and collaborative healthcare partnerships. The Patient Support team works closely with hospitals, clinics, and internal departments to ensure seamless medication delivery and patient care.
- • In this role, the individual will develop advanced leadership and operational management skills, gain deep expertise in specialty pharmacy workflows and systems (such as Willow, Qs1, and RX30), enhance data-driven decision-making through Excel and reporting, and grow professionally through mentoring, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration—positioning them for future growth in healthcare leadership or operations.
