📋 Description
- • The Patient Support Supervisor is a key leadership role within Shields Health Solutions’ Patient Support team, responsible for ensuring medication adherence and timely access to therapies through refill management, prior authorization, and financial assistance support.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and managing a team of Patient Support Associates, overseeing service level metrics, managing ADP/PTO/time reports, conducting audits, coordinating with hospital partners, facilitating team and management meetings, providing coaching and performance management, onboarding new hires, and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive patient data.
- • Shields Health Solutions is a fast-growing specialty pharmacy management services company focused on improving patient outcomes through integrated support services, operating with a close-knit, collaborative team culture that values accountability, development, and service excellence.
- • In this role, the individual will develop leadership and operational expertise in healthcare support environments, gain experience in performance management and workflow optimization, and have opportunities to contribute to cross-functional projects and organizational growth initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Current pharmacy technician registration with the State of employment and national CPhT certification (or commitment to obtain within agreed timeframe)
- • Minimum 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience, with 3-5+ years preferred in specialty pharmacy
- • Proven leadership experience, such as a Team Lead role or equivalent where you have guided or supervised other team members
- • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred or actively pursued
- • Strong operational management skills, including ability to manage projects, prioritize workloads, evaluate trends, and drive program improvements
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word), including basic formulas, data manipulation, and graph creation
- • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills with ability to influence without formal authority and maintain confidentiality of sensitive health information
