Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end payment lifecycle for Insurity’s multi-million-dollar receivables portfolio, ensuring every premium, refund, void, return payment, service fee, and reissue is posted accurately and on time—directly impacting cash flow for 22 of the top 25 P&C carriers in North America.
  • • Import and validate high-volume payment files, NSF notices, A/R data, and vendor reports from banking partners, lockboxes, and client ERP systems; perform daily balancing to catch discrepancies before they reach clients.
  • • Produce and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly payment and commission reports to finance, client success, and carrier partners; your dashboards will be the single source of truth that executives rely on for forecasting and compliance.
  • • Serve as the first line of support for client-facing accounting tickets and email queues, translating complex remittance data into clear explanations that help customers reconcile their books faster and reduce DSO.
  • • Own cash-receipts and service-fee sub-ledgers, ensuring every dollar is properly allocated to policy, agency, and general-ledger codes; partner with the GL team during month-end close to deliver variance-free reconciliations.
  • • Continuously reconcile bank, merchant-processor, and clearing accounts; investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions within SLA, protecting Insurity’s reputation for financial accuracy.
  • • Champion process-improvement initiatives by identifying manual touchpoints and partnering with Engineering and Product to automate imports, exception handling, and reporting—freeing the team to focus on higher-value analysis.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with Implementation, Client Success, and Product to design payment configurations for new clients and product launches, ensuring controls and reporting requirements are baked in from day one.
  • • Stay ahead of evolving payment rails (ACH, RTP, wires, virtual cards) and regulatory changes (NACHA, PCI-DSS, state escheatment rules) by reading industry publications, attending webinars, and sharing insights that keep Insurity at the forefront of fintech compliance.
  • • Maintain strict confidentiality and SOX-level controls over sensitive financial data, participating in internal and external audits with clean, well-documented workpapers that demonstrate the strength of our control environment.
