� Description

• • Own and evolve the Internal Audit & Compliance Department for ION Group in Pisa, reporting directly to the Board of Directors and acting as the single point of accountability for all assurance, risk and regulatory matters.
• • Design and own the Annual Audit Plan using a rigorous, data-driven, risk-based methodology that reflects emerging threats, regulatory changes and strategic priorities across our global FinTech platform.
• • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex audit and compliance engagements—scoping, fieldwork, evidence gathering, root-cause analysis and reporting—while ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders at every level remain engaged and informed.
• • Act as lead auditor across IT Audit, D.lgs. 231/01, GDPR, ISMS ISO 27001 and QMS ISO 9001, applying state-of-the-art techniques and tooling to uncover control gaps, quantify risk exposure and recommend pragmatic, business-focused remediation.
• • Present concise, compelling findings and action plans to Top Management and the Board, translating technical issues into strategic insights that drive investment decisions and shape enterprise-wide risk appetite.
• • Coordinate the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and operating instructions, ensuring they stay aligned with evolving regulations, industry best practice and the fast-moving FinTech landscape.
• • Serve as the key liaison with the 231/01 Supervisory Body and the Data Protection Officer, orchestrating timely updates to the organisation’s Model and GDPR system model and embedding a culture of accountability and transparency.
• • Act as an internal consultant on governance, risk management and internal control, providing expert guidance to senior executives on emerging threats, regulatory developments and strategic initiatives.
• • Build, coach and mentor a high-performing audit and compliance team, fostering a culture of curiosity, integrity and continuous learning that positions the department as a trusted business partner.
• • Maintain an external radar of regulatory, technological and market developments—anticipating change and proactively adapting the audit universe, compliance framework and team capabilities to stay ahead of the curve.
• • Collaborate closely with global counterparts across ION Group to share intelligence, harmonise methodologies and ensure a consistent, world-class approach to risk and compliance across all jurisdictions.
• • Drive the adoption of data analytics, automation and continuous monitoring techniques to increase audit coverage, reduce manual effort and deliver real-time insights to management.
• • Champion a risk-aware culture throughout the organisation by designing and delivering targeted training, awareness campaigns and executive briefings that demystify regulation and empower employees to own risk in their day-to-day roles.
• • Manage stakeholder expectations through transparent communication, clear escalation paths and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset that balances regulatory rigour with commercial agility.
• • Represent ION Group in external forums, industry working groups and regulatory dialogues, enhancing the company’s reputation as a thought leader in FinTech governance and compliance excellence.
