  • • Distro, Inc. is seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Payroll and Data Specialist to join our dynamic team in Bogotá. This pivotal role is responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring absolute accuracy, strict compliance with U.S. Federal and California payroll regulations, and the integrity of sensitive employee data. As a Payroll and Data Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial well-being and trust of our clients and their employees, acting as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and problem-solving.
  • • Your core responsibility will involve the comprehensive processing and auditing of multi-client payrolls. This includes meticulously reviewing time and attendance data, reconciling complex payroll reports, and ensuring that all calculations for wages, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation elements are precise. You will be the guardian of compliance, staying abreast of and strictly adhering to all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, with a particular emphasis on the intricacies of California payroll.
  • • A significant aspect of this role is the diligent management of payroll data. This encompasses accurately updating and maintaining employee records, including tax withholdings, voluntary and involuntary deductions (such as benefits premiums, retirement contributions, and wage garnishments), and ensuring that all changes are reflected correctly in the payroll system. You will be responsible for performing rigorous pre- and post-payroll audits, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors before payroll is finalized and disbursed.
  • • Beyond the transactional aspects of payroll, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our HRIS (Human Resources Information System). This involves supporting HRIS updates, ensuring employee records are current and complete, and assisting with the administration of employee benefits. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that payroll data seamlessly integrates with other HR functions, providing a unified and reliable source of employee information.
  • • You will be expected to generate a variety of reports for internal stakeholders and clients, providing insights into payroll costs, tax liabilities, and other key metrics. This requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable information. Furthermore, you will serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients and internal teams, addressing payroll-related questions, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on best practices.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to identifying potential payroll risks and implementing preventative measures. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes, suggesting and implementing efficiencies to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and overall effectiveness. This role demands a high level of confidentiality and discretion, as you will be handling sensitive employee and financial information.
  • • This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a growing company, gain exposure to diverse client payroll needs, and contribute significantly to the operational success of Distro, Inc. Your dedication to accuracy, compliance, and data integrity will be highly valued and directly impact our ability to serve our clients effectively. You will be a critical component of our operational infrastructure, ensuring that payroll is processed smoothly, accurately, and in full compliance with all relevant regulations, thereby fostering a positive and reliable experience for all employees involved.
