- • Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and assigned regional markets, validating all payroll inputs including joiners, exits, allowances, incentives, claims, attendance, and deductions.
- • Manage statutory submissions and compliance for EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax, and equivalent regulations, ensuring full adherence to local labour laws and regulatory requirements.
- • Perform payroll checks, reconciliations, and validations prior to payout, maintaining audit-ready documentation and strong internal controls.
- • Process salary adjustments, promotions, bonuses, allowances, and ad-hoc payments with full accuracy and strict confidentiality.
- • Coordinate and manage relationships with payroll vendors, regional payroll partners, and EOR providers, validating outputs, resolving discrepancies, and enforcing SLAs.
- • Prepare detailed payroll reports, reconciliations, and documentation for HR, Finance, and management to support audits, budgeting, and compensation analysis.
- • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in payroll workflows and support improvements in standard operating procedures, automation, and HRIS integration.
- • Work closely with People Ops, HR Business Partners, and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll execution across multiple jurisdictions as the company scales.
- • Ensure all payroll activities are completed accurately and on time, every cycle, with zero tolerance for errors in employee compensation.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving payroll regulations in Malaysia and other assigned regional markets.
- • Handle sensitive employee data with the highest level of discretion and professionalism at all times.
- • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of payroll systems and processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase compliance reliability.
- • Support ad-hoc payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers while maintaining data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- • Collaborate with external auditors and internal control teams to ensure payroll operations meet all financial and legal standards.
- • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to integrate payroll data with broader HR and finance systems for improved reporting and analytics.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in payroll operations, preferably covering multi-country or regional payroll.
- • Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- • Hands-on experience with payroll systems, HRIS tools, and spreadsheets.
- • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving ability.
- • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- • Strong coordination skills to work effectively with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
