• • As the Payroll Lead for Slovakia at Remote, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our payroll operations within the country. This pivotal role demands a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can ensure the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payroll for our Slovakian employees. You will be the lynchpin of our Slovakian payroll function, owning the complete Country Pod and providing essential guidance and mentorship to your team.
• • Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of in-house, end-to-end payroll processing. This includes meticulous preparation, accurate balancing, robust internal control implementation, and thorough management of payroll taxes. You will be the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters, liaising effectively with both internal departments and external stakeholders, including payroll service providers, accounting teams, and government agencies.
• • Staying abreast of the ever-evolving landscape of international payroll laws, regulations, tax implications, and benefits is crucial. You will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all corporate and country-specific regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and data integrity, including GDPR.
• • A key aspect of this role involves managing and nurturing relationships with our existing payroll, accounting, and payroll service providers. You will be tasked with developing and implementing best practices, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and establishing service level agreement (SLA) metrics for the Slovakian payroll team, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• • You will play a vital role in documenting and maintaining all relevant payroll processes, ensuring they align with internal governance requirements and external legislative mandates. This includes planning for, implementing, and reviewing system developments, statutory changes, and periodic processes, ensuring our payroll infrastructure remains robust and up-to-date.
• • Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting testing for development and enhancements to our payroll systems, contributing to the evolution of our global payroll platform. You will leverage your understanding of global payroll best practices to optimize our operations in Slovakia.
