Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • This role is a customer-facing and operations role that owns the outcome of payroll for dozens of independent clinics in multiple states.
- • The Payroll Operations Specialist will run payroll operations across multiple states, every cycle, every correction, every state registration, and every confused employee asking why their check looks different this week.
- • The role also involves owning the payroll platform itself, which is powered by Salsa, configuring it, catching problems before customers do, and telling the engineering team exactly what needs to change.
- • This is a high-ambition role that requires the ability to work harder and move faster than most people, with a focus on building systems that make payroll operations scale.
- • The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who can turn chaos into repeatable processes, manage a large volume of parallel priorities without dropping details, and thrive in environments with little structure and high accountability.
- • The role offers direct exposure to company-building at an early stage, real ownership of critical initiatives from day one, and the opportunity to materially impact families and clinicians.
- • The Payroll Operations Specialist will be responsible for running payroll for dozens of clinics, being the owner of the payroll platform, handling multi-state compliance, and supporting clinic owners directly.
- • The role also involves building the systems that make payroll operations scale, including documenting every workflow, exception, and edge case, building checklists, templates, and calendars that keep cycles predictable, and using AI and automation to remove the repetitive parts of the job.
- • The ideal candidate is AI-native, has experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, and can manage a large volume of parallel priorities without dropping details.
- • The role offers a strong compensation package, including a competitive salary, meaningful equity, health benefits, flexible PTO, and dinner when working late.
