This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on the global employment landscape by ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of payroll for Australia and New Zealand. As a subject matter expert, you will be instrumental in managing the end-to-end payroll cycle, from statutory filings and exception handling to approvals and payments, all while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and quality.
- • You will be the go-to expert for Australia and New Zealand payroll, deeply understanding local regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices. This expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of international payroll and ensuring Remote's commitment to compliant global employment solutions.
- • A core responsibility will be the meticulous processing of full end-to-end payroll in-house. This includes managing all statutory filing requirements, handling any exceptions that arise, overseeing the approval process, executing payments accurately and on time, and ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant legislation.
- • Maintaining absolute data integrity and quality throughout the payroll process is paramount. You will implement and adhere to rigorous checks and balances to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of all payroll-related data, which is essential for financial reporting and employee trust.
- • You will play a key role in accounting and reconciliation processes, ensuring that payroll data aligns with financial records and that any discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved. This involves detailed analysis and collaboration with the Finance team.
- • A strong focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) is expected. You will actively monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to ensure that payroll operations consistently meet or exceed established targets for efficiency and accuracy.
- • This role is not just about processing payroll; it's about continuous improvement. You will be tasked with implementing new processes and refining existing ones to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline operations. Your innovative mindset will be key to driving these enhancements.
- • You will serve as a mentor and support system for other payroll specialists. Sharing your knowledge, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative team environment will be essential to the growth and development of the wider payroll team.
- • In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will provide crucial backup support to regional managers during their absences, ensuring continuity and seamless operations within the Global Payroll Operations team.
- • You will manage and nurture existing relationships with key stakeholders across various departments, including Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering. Effective communication and collaboration will be vital to ensure alignment and smooth operational workflows.
- • Embrace Remote's core value of Innovation by actively seeking and implementing automation and AI capabilities within payroll processes. You will be encouraged to identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve speed, accuracy, and overall efficiency.
- • As a fully remote company, you will thrive in an asynchronous work environment, managing your time effectively and communicating clearly through written documentation and updates. This requires a high degree of self-discipline and proactive engagement.
- • You will contribute to building a best-in-class HR platform by bringing your unique talents, experiences, and cultural perspectives to the table, helping to shape the future of global employment.
- • This role offers the chance to work from anywhere, providing flexibility and autonomy. You will be empowered to take ownership of your work, be proactive, and prioritize your life-work balance, fitting work around your personal needs and family.
- • You will be joining an energetic, curious, and ambitious team that is passionate about solving complex global employment challenges and defining the future of work. Your contributions will directly impact the success and growth of Remote Technologies Inc.
