OSV is a leading provider of Business-Process-as-a-Service (BPaaS) solutions for Workday, dedicated to transforming HR, payroll, and finance functions for over 1,000 clients. In this remote position, you will leverage your expertise to meticulously reconcile payroll and tax data, identify discrepancies, and implement effective solutions, contributing directly to client satisfaction and regulatory adherence.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve the daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliation of payroll and tax data. This requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of various US tax jurisdictions. You will be tasked with collecting and analyzing complex datasets to pinpoint and resolve any tax discrepancies or balance issues, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- • A significant aspect of this role includes researching and resolving customer tax out-of-balances in a timely and efficient manner. This involves investigating the root causes of discrepancies, whether they stem from employer or employee-level data, and applying appropriate corrective actions. You will be expected to perform various mathematical calculations to determine the best possible solutions for these complex issues.
- • You will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights. This includes analyzing payroll and tax data at both the employer and employee levels, identifying trends, and suggesting conclusions that support informed decision-making. Your analytical skills will be crucial in transforming data into a clear narrative that explains the cause of tax discrepancies and proposes resolutions.
- • Ensuring compliance with all tax authority requirements is paramount. You will meticulously review processes and outcomes to guarantee that all actions taken align with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This proactive approach to compliance helps mitigate risks and maintain OSV's reputation for accuracy and reliability.
- • Effective communication is key in this role. You will be responsible for clearly communicating the cause of tax discrepancies to customers, providing them with comprehensive explanations and updates on the resolution process. Documenting these communications and the steps taken is essential for record-keeping and future reference.
- • This role demands a proactive and collaborative approach. You will work closely with internal teams to support collective goals and ensure seamless payroll tax operations. Your ability to anticipate potential problems within your assigned work and address them before they escalate will be highly valued.
- • You will be expected to manage your workload independently, demonstrating self-directed management of your tasks and a commitment to achieving results. Flexibility is also crucial, as you will need to adapt to a constantly changing environment and evolving client needs.
- • As a problem solver, you will tackle challenges head-on, developing and implementing effective solutions. Your excellent customer service skills will be vital in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their payroll tax needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
- • The ability to support multiple customers effectively is a core requirement, managing diverse needs and priorities while maintaining a high standard of service for each.
- • You will utilize internal data analytics tools and resources to conduct thorough research and resolve tax discrepancies. This involves a deep dive into financial data, cross-referencing information, and applying logical reasoning to arrive at accurate conclusions.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing company that values innovation, collaboration, and professional development. You will be encouraged to learn, share ideas, and grow your career within a values-based culture that rewards hard work and forward-thinking.
- • The role requires a strong understanding of Federal, State, and Local tax rules and requirements, ensuring that all payroll tax activities are compliant and accurate.
- • You will be expected to respond quickly and independently to issues, making sound decisions under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
