- • Astreya Partners is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented PCM Analyst II to join our dynamic team, contributing significantly to our cost management and analytics efforts. This role is pivotal in supporting cost analysis across our diverse product portfolio, from the initial stages of New Product Introduction (NPI) through to mass production. You will be instrumental in managing both Bill of Materials (BOM) and non-BOM cost variables, including Manufacturing Variance Adjustments (MVA), logistics, warranty, support, and capital expenditures (Capex).
- • Your primary responsibility will be to delve into our extensive data, uncovering deeper insights and identifying key cost drivers within product designs. This analytical rigor will pave the way for identifying potential avenues for cost reduction and optimization, directly impacting the company's profitability and competitive edge.
- • You will be expected to independently manage routine cost assessments and reporting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This autonomy allows for efficient handling of day-to-day operations while freeing up senior resources for more strategic initiatives.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves partnering with full-time employees on high-impact strategic initiatives, such as "should-cost" modeling. These collaborations are crucial for enhancing early-stage cost engagement across design and supply chain operations, embedding cost-consciousness from the outset of product development.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams, to meticulously retrieve and consolidate engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) and operational inputs essential for accurate costing.
- • A key duty is ensuring that all cost-related inputs are structured, managed, and maintained within our internal tools. This structured data management is vital for downstream operations, historical analysis, and comparative assessments, providing a reliable foundation for decision-making.
- • You will serve as the primary custodian for product and program cost data. This involves meticulously documenting all change justifications and ensuring they accurately correspond to any identified cost variances, maintaining data integrity and traceability.
- • Close collaboration with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Engineering teams is required to reconcile changes that occur upstream within the design tools and our PLM system, ensuring a seamless flow of information and accurate cost representation.
- • You will be responsible for triaging new components to our global supplier managers, gathering critical cost inputs such as lead-time, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), and unit cost, which are fundamental to accurate BOM costing.
- • You will actively manage cost opportunities and risks associated with both BOM and non-BOM elements for individual products and programs, proactively identifying areas for improvement and potential challenges.
- • Tracking workstreams diligently is essential to ensure that cost headwinds are effectively mitigated and that identified opportunities within design and supply chain are fully realized, contributing to margin enhancement.
- • You will assist in generating comprehensive bi-weekly and monthly product cost reports for senior leadership. These reports will provide crucial performance metrics against our financial targets, offering clear visibility into cost performance.
- • A proactive approach to reviewing information is expected, enabling you to identify inconsistencies, emerging trends, and critical issues for management attention and action.
- • You will help prepare clear and concise communications for management and executive teams, highlighting areas of concern and outlining the necessary actions required to meet financial commitments and objectives.
- • Contributing to the automation of reporting processes within the group is a key objective. You will assist in the assessment and implementation of decision support tools to enhance efficiency and analytical capabilities.
- • This role also encompasses other duties as required, reflecting the dynamic nature of the position and the company's needs. This list is not intended to be an exhaustive inventory of all responsibilities, but rather a comprehensive overview of the core functions and expectations.
