- • As a People Operations Associate, you will be instrumental in supporting the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for every Jerry team member. You will be a key player in fostering our company culture, especially as we expand our remote-first approach with increased investment in in-person gatherings and team-building initiatives.
- • Your responsibilities will span across critical areas of People Operations, including:
- • **Employee Journey Support:** You will provide comprehensive support for all employee transitions, from the crucial onboarding phase for new hires to managing the administrative and logistical aspects of employee departures. This involves ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently, and that every employee feels supported throughout their tenure at Jerry.
- • **Culture Ambassador & Event Planning:** As a remote-first company, fostering a strong sense of community and connection is paramount. You will play a key role in planning, organizing, and executing company-wide and team-specific events. This includes coordinating offsites, virtual team-building activities, and other culture-enhancing initiatives designed to strengthen bonds and promote collaboration across our distributed workforce.
- • **Internal Communications Aid:** You will assist in ensuring clear and consistent communication flows throughout the organization. This involves drafting and distributing essential internal communications, such as company-wide newsletters, periodic updates on company progress, and important policy announcements, ensuring all employees are informed and engaged.
- • **Data and System Management:** Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our HR systems and employee records is vital. You will be responsible for various administrative tasks, including I-9 verification, supporting benefits administration processes, and generating employment verification letters. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure our People Operations data is reliable and up-to-date.
- • **Process Optimization & Automation:** We encourage a proactive approach to improving our operational efficiency. You will identify opportunities to streamline People Operations workflows, leveraging AI and other innovative tools to automate backend processes. This focus on optimization will free up valuable time for strategic initiatives and enhance the overall employee experience.
- • **Cross-functional Collaboration:** You will work closely with various departments, including Finance, Legal, and IT, to ensure smooth execution of People Operations functions. This collaborative approach ensures that HR initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives and that all employee-related processes are integrated effectively.
- • **Onboarding Excellence:** You will be a key point of contact for new hires, guiding them through their initial weeks and months. This includes coordinating orientation sessions, ensuring they have the necessary resources and introductions, and helping them integrate seamlessly into the Jerry team and culture.
- • **Compliance and Record Keeping:** You will ensure adherence to all relevant labor laws and regulations concerning employee records and HR practices. This includes maintaining confidential employee files and ensuring all documentation is compliant and securely stored.
- • **Employee Support:** You will serve as a resource for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information on policies, benefits, and procedures. 🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- • Prior experience or a strong demonstrated interest in HR, People Operations, or a related administrative role, ideally within a fast-paced startup environment.
- • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- • Meticulous attention to detail and a highly organized approach to managing multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
