- • As the first People Operations Manager at Assort Health Inc., you will establish and scale the HR function from the ground up, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s culture, employee experience, and operational foundation during a period of rapid growth. This high-impact, hands-on position is critical to ensuring that Assort Health can sustain its mission of making exceptional healthcare accessible through scalable, compliant, and people-first practices.
- • You will own the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and employee relations, while partnering closely with leadership to align people strategy with business objectives and foster a supportive, high-performing workplace.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and managing HR systems (such as Ashby and Rippling), maintaining accurate employee records, designing scalable HR processes to eliminate manual work and bottlenecks, monitoring data integrity through proactive audits, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.
- • You will lead onboarding programs for new hires, act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and support, partner with managers on performance reviews, goal-setting, feedback, and development initiatives, and manage payroll inputs, benefits administration, and vendor coordination.
- • You will reinforce consistent application of HR policies by providing clear guidance, escalating issues when necessary, and continuously improving HR operations to support organizational resilience and growth.
- • Assort Health is a fast-moving, mission-driven company that has already managed over 115M+ patient interactions, reduced average hold times from 11 minutes to 1 minute, and achieved 98%+ resolution rates and 99% scheduling accuracy through its AI-powered patient experience platform. - • The People Operations team operates within a culture guided by core values: Day One Drive, 5-Star Focus, Answer the Call, and One Pulse — emphasizing ownership, accountability, customer obsession, and team unity. You will help embed these values into HR practices and employee experiences.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to build HR infrastructure from scratch, gain end-to-end ownership of people operations in a high-growth startup, develop expertise in HR systems and compliance, and directly impact employee satisfaction, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

- • Familiarity with HR tools such as Ashby (ATS) and Rippling (HRIS/payroll/benefits)
- • Basic understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
- • Familiarity with AI tooling and automation processes to support HR efficiency and innovation
