- • Own and administer the full People Operations function at CuspAI, including end-to-end design, documentation, and execution of HR processes across the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees across all jurisdictions, providing guidance, coaching, and problem-solving on HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- • Build, configure, and audit HRIS systems (e.g., Deel), ensuring data integrity, automating workflows, and evaluating new tooling to scale with headcount growth.
- • Act as the internal expert on HR technology stack, troubleshooting system issues, identifying inefficiencies, and driving adoption of AI-powered automation to reduce administrative overhead.
- • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions including the UK, Netherlands, USA, Germany, Singapore, and Japan.
- • Develop, update, and manage internal policy documentation to ensure legal alignment and operational consistency across all operating regions.
- • Administer compensation cycles, salary adjustments, and benefits programs in close partnership with Finance, ensuring accurate payroll inputs and benefits enrollment.
- • Coordinate global immigration and mobility processes, including work authorizations, residence permits, and registration requirements, acting as the operational liaison between employees, managers, and external immigration providers.
- • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Finance, IT, Recruitment, and Legal teams to ensure seamless integration of People Operations with broader company functions.
- • Lead change management initiatives and operational projects with significant impact, applying project management rigor to deliver results under ambiguity and rapid scaling.
- • Map, document, and continuously improve HR processes from scratch, eliminating inefficiencies and creating scalable, repeatable systems that support hypergrowth.
- • Maintain a current, accessible internal knowledge base that serves as the authoritative source for HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- • Demonstrate exceptional written communication by creating clear, precise, and jargon-free process documents and policies that can be followed without additional context.
- • Prioritize effectively under pressure, distinguishing between tasks requiring perfection and those requiring timely completion, while managing multiple concurrent workstreams without drop-offs.
- • Navigate organizational ambiguity and shifting priorities with agility, adapting systems and processes as the company evolves during its formative scaling phase.
- • Champion operational excellence and culture-building by modeling transparency, accountability, and attention to detail in all aspects of People Operations.
- • Collaborate with world-class researchers and engineers across AI, chemistry, and engineering disciplines to enable a high-performing, interdisciplinary workforce focused on breakthrough materials science.
- • Support the company’s mission by ensuring the operational backbone of the People function enables rapid, sustainable scaling in pursuit of solutions for energy, clean water, carbon capture, and next-generation computing.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–7 years of experience in People Operations or generalist HR with a focus on building and systematizing processes from scratch
- • Deep hands-on experience configuring, auditing, and optimizing at least one HRIS platform (e.g., Deel), not just as a user but as the system owner
- • Proven familiarity with employment law and compliance requirements in the UK, Netherlands, USA, Germany, Singapore, and Japan
- • Exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of identifying and resolving systemic inconsistencies in processes or data
- • Strong project management and self-organization skills, capable of managing multiple complex workstreams under ambiguity and tight timelines
- • Excellent written communication skills, producing clear, precise, and legally sound policy and process documentation
