đź“‹ Description
- • As a People Partner for Engineering at Jane Technologies, you will serve as a trusted advocate and advisor to engineers, managers, and leaders, directly supporting a high-growth technical organization of 233 people across two Engineering Functions. Your work will remove obstacles for technical teams so they can focus on building products that empower healthcare clinics worldwide, creating a tangible ripple effect on patient care and practitioner success.
- • Day to day, you will coach individual contributors and managers through performance conversations, career development, conflict resolution, and team dynamics; own the full employee relations and performance management spectrum, including navigating tough conversations and supporting employees through difficult situations; lead Talent Reviews and retention efforts with full ownership, identifying top talent and flight risks early; support leaves and accommodations end to end, from intake to return-to-work planning; leverage data from Health Check surveys and people insights to drive team-level action planning and support organizational change; use AI tools proactively to enhance your effectiveness in communication, data analysis, and program execution; and navigate ambiguous situations with sound judgment, balancing individual, team, company, and customer needs without relying on blanket policies.
- • You will join a People team that is deeply aligned with Jane’s mission to 'help the helpers,' operating in a founder-led, high-growth SaaS environment where every people decision impacts the ability of clinics to deliver care. The Engineering organization you support is scaling rapidly amid meaningful change, offering you the opportunity to shape how technical teams evolve in a way that sustains both performance and culture during periods of growth.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in technical talent management, strengthen your ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes in a fast-moving tech environment, and refine your skills in data-driven HR, change management, and AI-augmented HR practices. You will gain credibility as a trusted thought partner to engineers and engineering leaders while contributing to the retention and engagement of high-performing technical teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally with a foundation in HR coordination or generalist roles
- • At least 2 years of dedicated people partnering experience in a high-growth technology environment
- • Proven experience supporting engineering, product, or developer teams, including understanding of tech team structures, operations, and success metrics
- • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategy to business goals and communicate impact clearly
- • Comfort and effectiveness in flat, cross-functional environments, particularly when partnering with technical, product, and design teams
- • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, operate without rigid playbooks, and use AI tools to work smarter and stay ahead
🏖️ Benefits
- • Annual salary range of $89,000 - $140,000, with most new hires starting at $106,400 (accomplished stage)
- • Comprehensive benefits package, details available in Jane’s official benefits overview document
- • Regular career development conversations and compensation growth tied to experience and meaningful contributions to the mission
- • Opportunity to work remotely as part of a distributed team across Canada, the US, and the UK
- • Exposure to innovative AI integration in HR practices, with encouragement to adopt and model modern, AI-forward people work
- • Membership in a founder-led, mission-driven company where your work directly supports healthcare practitioners and patients through better clinic operations
