  • • Directive is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Performance Creative Designer to join our remote team in Canada. As a revenue-first marketing consultancy, we specialize in serving B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, industrial, and commerce brands. Our approach is rooted in creating visual systems that perform under pressure, whether it's for demanding performance channels, complex professional services positioning, or engaging a buying audience that spans from CMO to CFO.
  • • In this critical individual contributor role, you will be the driving force behind Directive's visual identity and the creator of high-impact ad creative for our own paid programs. You will also be responsible for designing compelling sales materials used by our growth team to engage enterprise prospects. This position demands a designer who is equally adept at brand development and performance-driven creative, capable of producing both sophisticated design systems and engaging short-form video ads with the same level of expertise and rigor.
  • • **Brand Identity & Visual System Ownership:**
  • • You will be the primary steward and evolver of Directive's visual identity, ensuring coherence across our three core divisions and the Stratos AI platform, which acts as a unifying visual thread.
  • • Your mandate includes building and maintaining a scalable design system that thoughtfully accommodates our multiple divisions, diverse industry verticals, and the distinct Stratos platform layer. The goal is to ensure every asset is instantly recognizable as Directive while maintaining unique visual integrity.
  • • You will establish and enforce clear brand standards, applying them meticulously across your own work and any assets produced by external contributors, ensuring unwavering brand consistency.
  • • A key responsibility is translating complex brand positioning into a sophisticated visual language that resonates credibly with a CMO-level audience, avoiding both a generic startup aesthetic and a bland B2B agency look.
  • • **Ad Creative Production for Performance Channels:**
  • • You will design and produce all ad creative assets for Directive's extensive paid media program, which spans LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and programmatic channels, including dynamic video storytelling.
  • • This involves designing and producing static ad units across all necessary platform specifications and aspect ratios (1:1, 9:16, 16:9) for LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, and programmatic display networks.
  • • You will be responsible for producing engaging motion graphics and short-form video cutdowns in :15, :30, and :60 formats, specifically optimized for social advertising platforms and the need to capture attention quickly.
  • • A crucial part of this role is editing existing video assets into high-performing ad units tailored to platform specifications. You must be capable of transforming raw footage into polished, effective ad content without relying on a dedicated video editor.
  • • You will collaborate closely with the media team to interpret campaign performance data, using insights from watch time, CTR, and scroll-stop rates to inform and iterate on creative decisions.
  • • You will build and execute A/B creative tests, developing variant hypotheses, designing the test assets, and analyzing the data to drive continuous improvement.
  • • Maintaining visual consistency and brand standards across all ad creative is paramount, while also adapting deliberately to different audiences, divisions, and platform contexts.
  • • **Sales Enablement & Pitch Material Design:**
  • • You will design the essential materials our growth team uses to pitch complex, multi-division value propositions to enterprise clients, ensuring clarity, compelling narrative, and brand alignment.
  • • This includes building reusable sales enablement assets, such as pitch decks, proposal templates, one-pagers, and case study presentations, designed to be adaptable by the growth team without compromising visual consistency.
  • • You will develop division-specific collateral for Performance, Communications, and Commerce, each carrying a distinct visual identity within the overarching Directive brand system.
  • • Partnering with strategy and growth leadership is key to understanding the core selling narrative for each asset before design begins, ensuring the visual structure perfectly complements the story structure.
  • • **What Success Looks Like:**
  • • Within the first 30 days, you will have audited existing brand assets, identified system gaps, initiated video creative briefs with defined testing hypotheses, and begun redesigning sales enablement templates after understanding current usage.
  • • By the 3-month mark, Directive's paid creative program will be outperforming benchmarks with data-informed iterations, the brand design system will be documented and consistently applied, sales materials will be redesigned and positively received, and a repeatable creative testing rhythm will be established.
  • • Performance benchmarks include achieving 25%+ average video watch length, maintaining a 10%+ ad CTR benchmark, running a minimum of two active creative tests per channel, ensuring zero off-brand assets ship without review, and achieving a 4.0+ CSAT rating from internal stakeholders.
