• As a Perl Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the full software development lifecycle, contributing to the creation of robust and scalable applications. You will collaborate within a high-performing, agile team environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets client needs and industry standards. Your work will directly impact the success of our projects, which often involve working with leading global brands like McLaren, Aviva, Deloitte, Spotify, Disney, ING, UPS, Tesco, Truecaller, AllSaints, Volotea, Schmitz Cargobull, Allegro, and InPost.
• Your core responsibility will be to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code. This involves applying established design patterns and adhering to quality development principles to ensure the longevity and maintainability of our software. You will be instrumental in developing medium to large-scale Perl applications, with a strong emphasis on creating solutions that are easy to understand, modify, and extend.
• We encourage the use of modern, web-based MVC frameworks such as Mojolicious, Dancer, or Catalyst. Your expertise in these frameworks will be crucial for building sophisticated web applications and APIs. You will be expected to leverage your understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture, and the principles behind designing and consuming JSON and XML APIs to create seamless system integrations and robust application architectures.
• Version control is a critical aspect of our development process. You will be proficient in managing code versions using tools like GIT, ensuring collaborative development and efficient tracking of changes. Furthermore, you will champion and apply unit and integration testing practices to guarantee the reliability and stability of the software you develop. This commitment to testing is fundamental to our quality assurance process and ensures that our applications perform as expected under various conditions.
• You will work closely with relational databases, utilizing Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools for efficient and secure data persistence. A solid understanding of database design and querying is essential for optimizing application performance and data integrity.
• Collaboration extends to supporting continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes. You will gain experience or contribute to the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CircleCI or Jenkins, enabling faster and more reliable software releases.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in developing medium to large-scale applications using Perl.
• Familiarity with modern Perl web-based MVC frameworks such as Mojolicious, Dancer, or Catalyst.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC design patterns, and experience with JSON/XML APIs.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly GIT.
• Proficiency in applying unit and integration testing practices.
• Experience working with relational databases and ORM.
