  • • The Pharmacy Network Consultant Senior role at Prime Therapeutics is a strategic, remote position responsible for developing and managing the company’s retail, mail, specialty, and quality-based pharmacy networks, directly impacting cost containment, network adequacy, and compliance with regulatory standards—making it a critical function in Prime’s mission to connect care beyond profits.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include negotiating market-competitive pharmacy agreements across all channels (retail, mail, specialty, quality-based) for low to medium-high complexity contracts; creating and managing network contracting campaigns with vendors; analyzing and reporting performance to cross-functional teams including Network Management leadership, Financial Analytics, and Supply Shared Services; collaborating with reporting and analytics teams to assess network adequacy and compliance gaps; representing Network Management in financial audits and cross-functional projects; ensuring contractual adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards; engaging with Legal on non-standard contract language; building and maintaining relationships with chain pharmacies, PSAOs, and independent providers; managing legal-to-legal correspondence with pharmacy providers; and performing network analysis to support strategic priorities.
  • • The Network Management team at Prime Therapeutics operates within a purpose-driven PBM that prioritizes connecting care for members over pure profit, leveraging data, clinical insight, and strategic vendor partnerships to improve affordability and access to medications; this role sits at the intersection of finance, contract strategy, and healthcare regulation, contributing directly to Prime’s Supply Chain Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) objectives.
  • • In this role, the individual will develop advanced expertise in pharmacy network contracting, regulatory compliance (including Medicaid, Medicare, and health plan requirements), financial analytics integration, and cross-functional stakeholder management—gaining the ability to influence multi-million-dollar network strategies while building deep relationships with pharmacy providers and legal teams, positioning them for senior leadership in healthcare network management or PBM strategy.

  • • 5 years of Network Management experience within Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), healthcare, or other highly regulated industry, including 3 years of managed care experience in medical or pharmacy network contracting
  • • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary range of $74,000.00 - $118,000.00 based on experience and skills
  • • Access to Prime Therapeutics’ comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, retirement savings, and paid time off—details available via the company’s Benefits at a Glance page
  • • Remote work flexibility with the ability to perform duties from a home office, supporting work-life balance while contributing to a national pharmacy network strategy
