- • Provide exceptional phone-based customer service to patients, physicians, and healthcare facilities as a key point of contact for ExactCare Pharmacy services.
- • Answer a high volume of inbound calls from current patients to resolve questions regarding medications, prescriptions, billing, and pharmacy services.
- • Place outbound calls to patients to create, update, or maintain their medication profiles and ensure accurate, up-to-date records.
- • Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals to coordinate patient care and resolve complex medication-related issues.
- • Perform claim adjudication duties including prior authorizations, billing verification, and eligibility checks, often requiring direct communication with patients and providers.
- • Collect outstanding patient balances through professional and compliant phone interactions.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy when documenting and updating patient records across multiple pharmacy software systems.
- • Utilize comprehensive drug knowledge to receive, clarify, and transfer prescriptions, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- • Accurately retrieve and verify prescription information by directly contacting prescribing physicians and their offices.
- • Enter high volumes of prescription and patient data with speed and precision into pharmacy management systems.
- • Conduct welcome calls to newly onboarded patients to establish trust and serve as their primary point of contact for pharmacy support.
- • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure seamless onboarding of new patients into ExactCare’s services.
- • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume remote call center environment to support ExactCare’s nationwide patient base of over 100,000 individuals.
- • Adhere to AnewHealth’s Core Values in all patient, provider, and team interactions.
- • Manage multiple case queues to proactively resolve patient care issues and ensure timely follow-up.
- • Navigate and utilize multiple pharmacy software platforms to process prescriptions, authorizations, billing, and patient communications.
- • Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage shifting responsibilities based on daily operational needs.
- • Overcome patient objections with empathy and professionalism while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
- • Think critically to document all interactions in a detailed, compliant, and world-class manner.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or GED
- • Current certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- • Active pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy
- • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting
- • Must be 18 years of age or older
- • Comfortable working in a phone-based, remote call center environment
