- • As a Mid-level PHP Engineer at Lendable Ltd, you will play a key role in building and enhancing the technology that powers one of the UK’s fastest-growing fintech unicorns, helping people access credit and save money through innovative lending products.
- • You will work on a broad range of tasks including developing and integrating new APIs, optimizing lending platforms, and participating in deep architectural discussions within the US Loans team, contributing to systems that deliver financial services in minutes rather than days.
- • You will join an engineering organization of over 200 talented engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and platform disciplines, working in small, highly capable teams that prioritize ownership, innovation, and solving problems with smarter solutions than the status quo.
- • This role offers the opportunity to grow your expertise in modern PHP development (PHP 8.0+), work with cutting-edge tools like Symfony 7, AWS, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures, and gain experience in financial systems while contributing to a profitable, mission-driven company backed by top-tier investors.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong, business-oriented engineering background with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ required)
- • Solid understanding of a modern PHP framework such as Symfony or Laravel
- • Experience with automated testing including unit, integration, functional, and Behat tests
- • High degree of ownership and autonomy in work
