Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Design advanced, deterministic physics problems for training and evaluation of frontier AI models, ensuring each problem has exactly one verifiable correct answer.
- • Develop comprehensive, verified solutions that clearly document the full reasoning process, step-by-step, for each problem created.
- • Create problems that test deep physical reasoning, multi-step analysis, and conceptual understanding—not rote memorization or formula application.
- • Use Python and scientific libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy) to build computational models, simulations, or workflows where relevant to problem design.
- • Ensure all problem statements, solutions, and documentation are technically precise, reproducible, and written in clear, professional English.
- • Contribute to high-quality STEM training datasets used directly in AI training and evaluation pipelines at leading AI research labs.
- • Collaborate remotely to deliver problem sets that challenge state-of-the-art AI systems in core areas of theoretical, experimental, or computational physics.
- • Maintain rigorous standards for technical accuracy, logical consistency, and clarity in all submitted materials.
- • Adapt problem complexity to target specific reasoning gaps in AI models, focusing on real-world physics workflows and non-trivial edge cases.
- • Submit deliverables on schedule within a 2-month contract period, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
- • Work independently to produce original, challenging content that reflects authentic physics research and problem-solving practices.
- • Ensure all outputs are free of ambiguity, mathematical errors, or unverified assumptions that could compromise AI training integrity.
- • Document assumptions, boundary conditions, and physical approximations used in problem design to enable reproducibility and model evaluation.
- • Prioritize clarity and precision in technical writing to ensure AI systems can reliably parse and solve problems as intended.
- • Contribute to iterative improvements in problem design based on feedback from AI evaluation results, where applicable.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics
- • Strong Python skills with comfort using scientific libraries such as numpy, scipy, or similar
- • Solid understanding of modeling, simulation, numerical methods, and multi-step problem solving
- • Ability to design original, difficult physics problems that reflect real physics workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation up to 40 USD per hour
- • Remote work arrangement
- • Contract/part-time engagement with flexible hours (20–40 hours per week)
- • 2-month project duration with potential for extension
