Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Design advanced, deterministic physics problems for training and evaluating frontier AI models, ensuring each problem has exactly one verifiable correct answer.
- • Develop complete, verified solutions for all problems, clearly documenting the logical reasoning and mathematical steps required to reach the solution.
- • Create problems that test deep physical reasoning, multi-step analysis, and real-world application of physics principles, avoiding reliance on memorization or rote calculation.
- • Utilize Python and scientific libraries such as numpy and scipy to build computational models, simulations, or workflows that support problem generation and validation.
- • Ensure all problem statements, solutions, and documentation are technically precise, reproducible, and written in clear, professional English.
- • Collaborate with the AI training team to align problem difficulty and content with the goals of improving AI reasoning in technical domains.
- • Contribute to the development of high-quality STEM training data used directly in training pipelines at leading AI laboratories.
- • Maintain rigorous standards for accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all submitted materials.
- • Adapt problem complexity to challenge state-of-the-art AI systems without introducing ambiguity or multiple valid solutions.
- • Review and refine existing problems based on feedback from AI evaluation results to enhance model performance in physics reasoning tasks.
- • Work independently within a remote, contract-based structure, managing time effectively to meet project milestones within a 2-month timeframe.
- • Potentially extend engagement beyond the initial project duration based on performance and ongoing data needs.
- • Apply expertise in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics to generate novel problems that reflect authentic research and engineering workflows.
- • Ensure all computational outputs are well-documented, executable, and verifiable by third parties.
- • Communicate technical concepts with precision and clarity, avoiding jargon unless necessary and always defining it when used.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics
- • Strong Python skills with comfort using scientific libraries such as numpy, scipy, or similar
- • Solid understanding of modeling, simulation, numerical methods, and multi-step problem solving
- • Ability to design original, difficult physics problems that reflect real physics workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation up to 40 USD per hour
- • Contract / part-time engagement with flexibility to work 20 to 40 hours per week
- • Fully remote work arrangement
- • Project duration of 2 months with potential for extension
