Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Design advanced, deterministic physics problems for training and evaluation of frontier AI models, ensuring each problem has exactly one verifiable correct answer
- • Develop complete, verified solutions with clear, step-by-step reasoning that demonstrates the full physical and mathematical derivation
- • Create problems that test deep physical reasoning, multi-step analysis, and real-world application, avoiding reliance on rote memorization or superficial knowledge
- • Use Python and scientific libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy) to build computational models, simulations, or workflows where relevant to problem generation
- • Ensure all problem statements, solutions, and documentation are technically precise, reproducible, and written in clear, professional English
- • Collaborate with AI training teams to align problem complexity and structure with the evaluation needs of state-of-the-art AI systems
- • Validate the correctness and uniqueness of solutions through rigorous peer review and computational verification
- • Contribute to the development of high-quality STEM training datasets used directly in AI model training pipelines at leading AI research labs
- • Maintain strict adherence to technical standards for problem design, including consistency in units, notation, and physical assumptions
- • Document all assumptions, boundary conditions, and numerical methods used in problem creation to ensure transparency and reproducibility
- • Adapt problem difficulty to challenge current AI systems without introducing ambiguity or multiple valid interpretations
- • Participate in iterative feedback cycles to refine problem sets based on AI model performance and evaluation outcomes
- • Ensure all deliverables meet the project’s quality benchmarks for accuracy, clarity, and technical depth
- • Work independently within a remote, contract-based structure with defined milestones and deliverables over a 2-month project period
- • Maintain consistent communication and timely submission of problem sets and solutions as scheduled
- • Contribute to potential project extensions by delivering high-quality outputs that demonstrate exceptional technical rigor and originality
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics
- • Strong Python skills with comfort using scientific libraries such as numpy or scipy
- • Solid understanding of modeling, simulation, numerical methods, and multi-step problem solving
- • Ability to design original, difficult physics problems that reflect authentic physics workflows
- • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation up to 40 USD per hour
- • Contract / part-time engagement with flexibility to work 20 to 40 hours per week
- • Remote work arrangement
- • Potential for project extension beyond the initial 2-month duration
