📋 Description
- • Design advanced, deterministic physics problems for training and evaluation of frontier AI models, ensuring each problem has exactly one verifiable correct answer.
- • Develop comprehensive, verified solutions for all problems, clearly documenting the complete reasoning process from first principles to final answer.
- • Create problems that test deep physical reasoning, multi-step analysis, and conceptual understanding—avoiding reliance on memorization or rote application of formulas.
- • Use Python and scientific libraries (e.g., numpy, scipy) to build computational models, simulations, or workflows where relevant to generate or validate problem outputs.
- • Ensure all problem statements, solutions, and documentation are technically precise, reproducible, and written in clear, professional English.
- • Contribute to high-quality STEM training datasets used directly in AI training and evaluation pipelines at leading AI research labs.
- • Collaborate remotely to deliver problems and solutions on schedule within a 2-month project window, with potential for extension based on performance.
- • Maintain rigorous standards for technical accuracy, logical consistency, and clarity in all deliverables to meet the demands of cutting-edge AI model development.
- • Apply expertise in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics to design problems that reflect authentic research and engineering workflows.
- • Identify and incorporate real-world physics scenarios that challenge state-of-the-art AI systems in areas such as mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, or quantum phenomena.
- • Validate all computational outputs through independent verification to guarantee correctness and eliminate ambiguity in problem solutions.
- • Document assumptions, approximations, and numerical methods used in simulations to ensure transparency and reproducibility for AI training purposes.
- • Adapt problem complexity to target specific reasoning gaps in AI models, balancing difficulty with solvability under defined constraints.
- • Work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict quality control standards for technical content.
- • Deliver all materials in structured formats suitable for integration into AI training datasets and evaluation benchmarks.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field
- • Strong research or industry experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics
- • Proficient in Python with experience using scientific libraries such as numpy or scipy
- • Solid understanding of modeling, simulation, numerical methods, and multi-step problem solving
- • Ability to design original, challenging physics problems that test deep reasoning, not memorization
- • Excellent technical writing skills in English
