- • As a Platform Engineer, APIs & Observability at Stack AI Inc., you will own the
- • public API that powers all integrations and the observability systems that make autonomous agent runs understandable to developers and customers. This high-leverage role sits at the core of the platform, where your work directly impacts how teams build, monitor, and improve AI workflows on StackAI’s no-code platform for large language models.
- • Day to day, you will design, version, and evolve the public API and SDKs with a focus on developer experience; establish API standards for consistency, versioning, and deprecation; build distributed tracing and instrumentation to enable end-to-end visibility of agent runs across models, tools, and sub-agents; create analytics and reporting that turn usage data into actionable insights on performance, cost, and optimization; and own audit logging and team-scoped views to support enterprise compliance and governance.
- • You will join a lean, high-impact team at Stack AI Inc., a fast-growing startup building a no-code platform for designing, testing, and deploying AI workflows powered by large language models. The company enables teams to connect data to AI models and ship production applications—from chatbots to document-processing pipelines—without writing code, and your work will be central to how developers and customers interact with and trust the platform.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in API product design, observability at scale, and backend systems for AI platforms. You’ll have the opportunity to shape foundational platform contracts, influence developer experience across SDKs and APIs, and gain hands-on experience with modern observability stacks and analytics datastores in a high-visibility, impact-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years building backend services and public APIs in production
- • Strong API craft: RESTful design, SDK ergonomics, and rate limiting
- • Fluency with OpenAPI: experience defining API standards, versioning, deprecation, and consistency across services
- • Fluency with observability and analytics: distributed tracing, metrics, and turning raw signals into reliable data products
- • Strong in Python and modern backend frameworks (FastAPI or similar); comfortable with TypeScript/Node.js on product surfaces
