- • Manage all state and federal policy functions for Prime Therapeutics, establishing overall policy priorities and strategies aligned with corporate business objectives.
- • Serve as the primary spokesperson and thought leader on policy matters, representing Prime externally to regulators, legislators, and industry stakeholders.
- • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with executive leadership teams (ELT and SLT) to ensure policy and legislative strategies reflect short- and long-term business goals.
- • Create and deliver tailored policy education materials including written memos, presentations, and public speaking engagements for internal and external audiences.
- • Coordinate and provide staff support for Board and Board committee policy-related materials, meetings, and deliverables, including the client policy advisory forum.
- • Harmonize federal and state policy messaging to ensure consistency, clarity, and proactive advocacy across all regulatory environments.
- • Manage the comprehensive portfolio of policy materials, including issue briefs, talking points, leave-behinds, bill-specific documents, and legislative language that protects executive priorities.
- • Lead federal regulatory comment strategy, including synthesis, drafting, and filing of official comments on proposed rules impacting the PBM industry.
- • Monitor, analyze, and communicate regulatory and legislative headwinds to company leadership through leadership alert memos, quarterly reports, and regulatory landscape updates.
- • Drive industry thought leadership through active participation in trade associations, particularly the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA), to influence policy adoption.
- • Provide leadership and crisis management during legislative or reputational threats in the policy arena, ensuring rapid, strategic responses.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional internal task forces and client advisory groups to align stakeholder awareness of regulatory risks and opportunities.
- • Translate complex PBM business objectives into actionable policy priorities and advocacy strategies grounded in deep industry knowledge.
- • Adapt policy approaches based on successful precedents from prior regulatory or legislative engagements.
- • Ensure all policy activities comply with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and internal compliance requirements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • 10 years of experience in government affairs, regulatory, audit, or compliance roles within PBM, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry
- • At least 5 years of direct experience working with legislative or regulatory matters impacting PBM business
- • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for visa or residency sponsorship
- • Deep understanding of state and federal legislative and regulatory activity and their interrelationships
- • Demonstrated ability to perform effective public speaking for diverse audiences

- • Potential pay range of $143,000.00 - $243,000.00 based on experience and skills
