- • Policy, Coverage & Regulatory Compliance Expert for AI Research Project – Aptura Inc. seeks a seasoned insurance professional to apply deep expertise in policy interpretation, coverage analysis, and regulatory compliance to shape how frontier AI models reason through complex insurance problems.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing realistic policy and compliance tasks with ambiguous outcomes, writing evaluation rubrics that mirror expert reasoning, reviewing AI-generated analyses for errors in policy interpretation or compliance, building benchmark reference materials, and clearly communicating coverage determinations and rationales in writing.
- • Aptura partners with leading foundational AI labs to integrate institutional finance and insurance expertise into AI model development, operating remotely from London and San Francisco with a team of ex-Lazard and Partners Group professionals.
- • This role offers the opportunity to pioneer the application of insurance expertise in AI safety and reliability, directly influencing how advanced models handle real-world regulatory and commercial risk, while building a portfolio of impactful work at the intersection of insurance and artificial intelligence.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–8+ years of experience in insurance coverage, policy wording, product development, forms management, or regulatory compliance
- • Proven ability to draft, review, interpret, or approve policy language, endorsements, forms, or regulatory filings that withstand legal, regulatory, or commercial scrutiny
- • CPCU, ARM, JD, ACII/FCII, or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)
- • Skill in explaining coverage determinations and compliance reasoning clearly enough to teach the underlying logic, not just the outcome
