- • As a Portfolio Analyst at Baldwin Technology Company Inc., you will play a critical role in managing and monitoring Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) portfolios, with a specialized focus on casualty reinsurance and structured insurance transactions. Your work ensures the accuracy, compliance, and transparency of complex financial operations that directly impact investor confidence and portfolio performance in a high-stakes, regulated environment.
- • You will manage end-to-end monthly servicing for diversified casualty ILS programs, including bordereaux ingestion, reconciliation, cash settlement calculations, claims tracking, and financial reporting, while overseeing collateral trust activity to ensure accurate updates on balances, sufficiency tests, claim withdrawals, and capital calls—maintaining audit-ready documentation and robust internal controls to uphold data integrity across all processes.
- • You will serve as a key operational liaison between cedants, brokers, custodians, legal counsel, auditors, and internal investment teams, supporting investor inquiries, due diligence, audit responses, and regulatory documentation for offshore reinsurers and SPVs, ensuring all stakeholder interactions are handled with precision, professionalism, and timeliness.
- • You will review and interpret reinsurance and trust agreements to design, test, and implement collateral calculation methodologies, identifying and resolving contractual discrepancies in collaboration with cedants and internal teams to protect investor interests and ensure alignment with deal terms.
- • You will develop and maintain Python, SQL, and Excel-based tools to automate trust reconciliation, settlement attribution, and performance analytics, transforming raw exposure and transactional data into actionable insights for portfolio management and investor-level reporting, while enhancing dashboards and automation modules to improve scalability and transparency.
- • You will support day-to-day monitoring of casualty reinsurance program performance, including loss development, premium flows, reserve movements, and exposure analytics, and assist in stress testing, scenario modeling, and forward-looking forecasting using industry tools such as RMS, AIR, and Aladdin to inform risk-adjusted decision-making.
- • You will maintain and enhance investor reporting packages with clear documentation, trust metrics, portfolio development trends, and performance insights, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and insightful updates that reflect the true health and trajectory of the ILS portfolios.

🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s degree in Applied Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field.
- • 1–3+ years of experience in insurance-linked securities, reinsurance, portfolio analytics, investment operations, or insurance finance, with exposure to casualty reinsurance programs, collateralized reinsurance structures, or SPV/trust operations highly preferred.
- • Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, and advanced Excel (including modeling, automation, VBA preferred), with familiarity in insurance/reinsurance systems such as RMS, AIR, and exposure modeling tools.
