- • As a Portfolio Analytics and Forecasts Actuary at Alan SAS, you will play a critical role in advancing the company’s mission to transform healthcare by building a prevention-focused insurance model. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights into portfolio performance, risk exposure, and financial sustainability across Health and Prevoyance businesses in multiple countries.
- • Day to day, you will define and build metrics, tools, and dynamic analytics to monitor the insurance portfolio and forecast margins; own quantitative computations for strategic decisions like portfolio repricing in collaboration with Strategy and Finance teams; analyze margin and claims drivers on both gross and ceded business to inform guarantee adjustments; contribute to reinsurance planning and renewal strategies with the Risk team; and support international expansion by helping new country entities establish their own portfolio monitoring and forecasting capabilities.
- • You will join Alan’s Insurance Team, a technically strong and mission-driven group at the core of the company’s operations. This team partners closely with data scientists, engineers, designers, and product managers to create innovative, fair-priced insurance products while managing risk, capital, reinsurance, and regulatory relationships. Alan serves over 1M+ members across 40K+ companies and has achieved €800M+ in ARR, operating with a unique culture focused on impact, transparency, and continuous learning.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in actuarial science applied to modern insurance portfolios, gain hands-on experience with dynamic forecasting models and reinsurance strategy, and develop cross-functional collaboration skills by working at the intersection of analytics, finance, strategy, and product. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how insurance is priced and managed in a preventive healthcare context, contributing to a systemic shift in how health risk is understood and addressed.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 2 years of experience in insurance and portfolio monitoring
- • Fluency in both English and French
- • Mastery of portfolio analytics and forecasts at the micro level
- • Proficiency in SQL, with ideal experience in R or Python
- • Analytical and structured mindset with a fact-based decision-making style
